Dear Friends,

On July 4th we celebrate freedom. On July 6th the fireworks begin...

…at the 2004 ACLU Membership Conference in San Francisco.
Won’t you Stand Up for Freedom with us?

At this year’s ACLU Membership Conference we will:

  • Dispatch messages to lawmakers and rally the public through the conference Action Center, an information and communications hub for instant political advocacy.
  • Celebrate freedom of expression with an array of artists, writers and entertainers at a Gala Tribute to the First Amendment.
  • Showcase surprising alliances throughout the political spectrum as we explore the common ground on which civil liberties stand.

The conference program includes sessions on the most timely, relevant topics, including same-sex marriage, racial profiling, domestic spying, new challenges to reproductive freedom, and balancing our need for national security and our right to personal privacy.

Our national conference is the central rallying point where ACLU members come together, at one time, in one place, to celebrate our accomplishments, recommit to our ideals, and show our country that we are Americans who proudly Stand Up for Freedom.

So please, make a statement with your presence at the 2004 ACLU Membership Conference in San Francisco July 6-8. Register now. Freedom depends on you.

Sincerely,

Anthony Romero, Executive Director, ACLU, speaks at the 2003 Inaugural Membership Conference.
