A Gay Rights Life
Matt and the staff at the ACLU's LGBT Project recently joined with a coalition to launch the "Tell 3" campaign, which encourages gays and lesbians to tell three people they're close to about what it's like to be gay. Straight people are also talking about their gay loved ones. The idea is that when enough people know and understand someone who is gay, they'll stop casting votes that discriminate against gay people. We hope Matt's episode of "ACLU Conversations" will help prompt the kind of personal conversations that will get us there. Look for more conversations on a variety of issues in this new video series from the American Civil Liberties Union.

Please help the hard working women of Lafayette College. Six women have come forth to stop sexual harassment at the college. The pervert responsible for sexually harassing these women was sentenced to 18 months probation in a plea bargain. How could such a plea bargain be available this scares me. The man accused of the harassment is basically walking away untouched. He got his rocks off for years at these women’s expense. This man was put in a position to protect the college, its employees, and its students. Below are the local newspapers links to the articles. Please help these women return to there jobs. These women were scared to come forth because the man responsible carried a gun and must have had some kind of connection with college considering he worked there for 20 years. Lafayette is trying to sweep this under the rug and its working. I hope the ACLU can help these women and make it known that these type of actions will not just be swept under the table.

Good vids.
Re: "Please note that by playing this clip You Tube and Google will place a long-term cookie on your computer." Huh??? All you have to do is set your browser to refuse cookies. This maximizes privacy, and is something I would think the ACLU would want to encourage.
At the least, I would think the ACLU would want to educate people about cookies, and how to erase them, as a civil liberties/anti-Big Brother matter.

When will Al-Qaeda's Liberty and Communist Un-Americans admit that a gay man has the same rights as me? We can both marry any woman we choose.

As a single gay male myself, I've always felt that gay men and lesbians should be allowed to get married should they find someone they love and wish to live with. I was apposed to Proposition 8 from the beginning. Being homosexual isn't without its problems (AIDS, HIV, etc.), but it's not all bad either. And yet the people who put Prop 8 into law are treating gays and lesbians like they're monsters who should be locked up for the rest of their lives. Who the hell are they to make such decision without asking the rest of us how we feel about it? It's just un-American. It's wrong.

Its funny that although couples can be married from a state that allows it, it cannot be recognized in another state. From my recollection, I thought marriage was a binding contract? and aren't contracts binding and recognized in every state according to full faith and credit??? Just something to think about when it all boils down!
Feb 23rd, 2009 at 2:43am
Hey, as a straight guy who is happily married, I couldn't give a hoot about gay marriages if that would shut the LGBT (sounds like a deli sandwich) crowd up. How about doing away with the 'domestic partnerships'? That is what hurts marriage.
Also, come out of the closet by all means. However the closet opens into the bedroom not into the street, the classroom, etc. Sex, straight or gay, should be a private affair.
Ya'all gays would fare better by toning it down and stop throwing your sexuality in societies face - cuz society will throw it right back at ya. You are the minorities so try being a little less forceful.
And finally, is the gay marriage issue soooo important that it ranks up there with real issues like:
hunger
illiteracy
domestic violence
violence against children
unemployment
homelessness, etc.??

You know if you type fag three times, you become a fag...oh no....and if it's in all CAPS, you become a big fag!! Get fucking real you fucking fucktard!!! (Sorry had to get that out of my system),
Feb 23rd, 2009 at 9:44pm
I am gay, I'm not in the closet, but at the same time, I don't throw it in anyones face either, for that very reason.
I may be in a small minority, but I am *not* a proponent of gay marriage for one main reason; What if I wind up in a very abusive relationship. Frankly, I'd want to run like hell, and in a marriage, I would not be able to do that, there are other reasons as well, but that one there is a big one.
I don't agree with Harry that civil unions hurt marriage. I know of at least one marriage in which the wife didn't take the husbands name as he had been through numerous marriages. I think in cases like that, where a person or couple has had nothing but bad luck with marriage, this could serve as an option.

What some of you straight people don't realize there is a significant difference between sexuality and sexual orientation. Because you are so hetrocentric, you think that your own identity definition is in terms of what activities you do sexually with members (presumably) of the opposite sex. Now, wouldn't this be a limiting and inaccurate way of defining who you are? Similarly, gay and lesbian people are not defined by who they have sex with; but rather it is their ORINTATION which describes who they are - now who and what they do sexually. Just as a black person is not defined by his/her activities to make him/her black; They are defined as African American because they are black. This is a sort of orientation. Likewise, gay and lesbian people are who they are because of this orientation, which defines - to the core - the basic essence of the individual. So many of you straight people cannot get beyond the sex part (you are far too busy fantasizing what things you think we do in our privacy, which are largely inaccurate exaggerations, but thank you for finding us so tabooo...); But any way, we are not what we do , but rather we are who we are because of who we are.
Feb 23rd, 2009 at 10:39pm
What it boils down to is capitolism. Some straight people are terrified that once you combine the powers of two strong gay men or lesbian women in legal unions - there is nothing we cannot achieve! You are afraid that we will gain equality and have what you have and then maybe even more than what you have. You cannot oppress good honest hardworking people for long - History will catch up with you. C'mon, this is America...Get a grip already!
Feb 26th, 2009 at 4:09pm
Marriage is not a Gay Rights Issue and I will tell you why.
If marriage is not clearly defined as a joining of a man and a woman then marriage could well be thrown into chaos. This will open a Pandora’s Box that we will not be able to close
If a man can marry another man why not marry his brother, his sister, his mother, or his father.
If a woman can marry another woman why not her mother, sister, brother, or father.
Do you see where this is going? It is not denying anyone one of their constitutional rights it is simply defining what constitutes Marriage.
California Law now recognizes unions between men and between women and defines them as Domestic Partnerships. That now covers a multitude of people and protects the rights of all. It technically puts them under the same protections reserved for married couples thus this is no longer a civil rights issue but a simple desire to have the relationships recognized as a marriage. As I have already stated, that would bring forth a chaotic condition that could and most likely would bring this nation down to its knees.
What would happen if a man wanted to marry a goat, a horse, a dog, or his cat? Where do rights take precedent over everything else, like common sense?
The right to marry is clear but marriage undefined opens up peril. Proposition Eight defined Marriage clearly. Going beyond that is wrong and dangerous.
Feb 26th, 2009 at 4:48pm
Under California state law, domestic partnerships afford all of the same rights, privileges, and benefits as marriages do.
Prop 8 is NOT about rights. It's about a definition. Just because some people don't want to change that definition does not mean they hate gays or are bigots. The ACLU and everyone calling people haters simply because they voted in favor of prop 8 seriously need to open their eyes.

What if i want to marry a goat. Would you support it and give me health and other benefits?
I dont see how everything has to revolve around gay rights, there are much more pressing things to worry about.

i am a happy 17 year old lesbian and i am pround to be one because its my life and im love whoeva the hell i want to. And Torrie-Venus i loved what you said because i ts true!! And by my book we should not be judged by what sex we like but by our personality and what makes us stand out. Most straight people say that we stand out because we wear the rainbow and make it out to show that we are gay or lesbians and that gives them a right to judge us!! No the hell it doesnt and they would not like us to judge them because they are straight!!!!!!!!!!
Apr 10th, 2009 at 9:44am
As a matter of fact, there are a few crucial benefits of marriage that gay people are denied. You can go and look them up on a website that isn't run by economically suicidal socialists and bigots.
And for the last goddamn time, sexual orientation is nobody's business unless it's their own! For god's sake, did you know somebody married a wall? It's a real orientation, and they (and we) have a right to express it, goddamnit! You straight people argue that gay people are promiscuous and that a gay marriage woudn't last long anyway, but that's only because we're not allowed to be committed! Are you fucking seeing it?! Damn I hate you homophobes. It doesn't matter if I'm gay, I'M A FUCKING PERSON!!! A HUMAN BEING!!!!!!!
Apr 18th, 2009 at 6:42pm
I can't believe that you would compare a person to an animal...
Wow. You're a dense bigot, and I really hope that you and your family are sterile.
Since when was a gay person equal to an animal?! They are NOT second class citzens, and you can stop treating them like one. They are just like you, and there are probably plenty more that are actually better than you. ^^
And NO, DOMESTIC RELATIONSHIPS DO NOT HAVE ALL THE SAME RIGHTS THAT TRADITIONAL MARRIAGES HAVE! Why do you think it is such a big problem?
Gays do NOT have the same tax cuts, they can be DENIED from seeing their mate if their mate is in the emergency room and dying because they are not "married", when one of them dies, property does not automatically transfer over to their spouse, UNLESS it's in a will; what if someone dies in an acciident at the age of 30, and hasn't written their will yet?
Also, they do not enjoy the same medical insurance benefits as well, they have to get SEPERATE insurance because they are not married, and it can cost them alot more.
That's only SOME of the differences between a domestic partnership and a marriage.
And please, before you even think that homosexual marriages ruin the"sanctity" of marriage, I point you to Britney Spears and OJ Simpson as examples of how heterosexual people have ruined marriage long before homosexuals.
You ignorant, and intolerant people disgust me.
Don't believe in gay marriage? DON'T GET ONE!
Apr 19th, 2009 at 1:40pm
Is anyone here old enough to remember when a persons private life was private? Personally, I couldn't care less if I work with, neighbor with, or travel with a person who is a homo. But, to redefine what marriage has been for 5000+ years because it's now "popular", doesn't pass the common sense test. It's my opinion that homosexuals want the marriage issue resolved for them to give themselves validation with themselves and heterosexuals. If a person disagrees with marriage for homosexuals FOR ANY REASON, we're automatically a 'homophobe' or 'hater'. There's a lot of hate and intolerance towards those with traditional views. Those folks don't believe marriage should be changed to include homosexuals (or any other group that will follow) just because of a very vocal group.

MickeyV3047 - Are you serious?
That is by far the most idiotic argument I have ever heard, but it's probably the most intelligent from anything that's /against/ gay rights.
"Women are clearly traditionally defined as those who cook and clean and have babies! If we allow them to vote, what's next? They're going to go out and get JOBS?! They're going to be our overlords and destroy the world as we know it?!"
Are you mentally challenged, sir?

no, person,
he's just a sexist, self-riteous pig.
and this "D" ... grrr...if you out-rightly insist on being this way you have nobody to blame but yourself if YOU'RE ever judged by how YOU live YOUR pathetic life.
WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT????
seriously youve got problems if you're that heartless and bullheaded
i cannot beleive the disrespect that comes from peoples mouths sometimes....
im so tired of it.

It seems to me that we are missing the point. The dispute is not about gay "marriage' versus 'domestic unions".
It is about banishing definitions since
a properly agreed definition often ends debate. You give me your defintion and I can immediately tell if we can have a meaningful discussion. To offer a neutral example, I define space as the interval between discrete bodies, which is to say nothing, yet today's physicists go around 'curving' nothing.
No discussion until we resolve the definition question.

I've had gay friends that were normal people - they'd tell you that they're gay and they were easy to talk to and didn't act like jerks when they found out someone wasn't gay. Then I had "flamboyant" gay friends that would go out of their way to let everyone know they are gay and made a big hoopla about heterosexuals.
The 2nd example is the problem - be gay, that's ok. But pushing your orientation on the rest of world when it isn't wanted is unacceptable. Gay pride parades are an excellent example. They scream "look at me, I'm gay!" Yay for you, why the hell do you need a parade?
May 19th, 2009 at 11:05pm
The Muslims hate us not only because we are infidels (not Muslims), but because we have so many rights for gays. I guarantee, they think about Americans as a mutants. I'm not religious, but marriage is for man and woman. Let civil union have the same statute as marriage.
May 19th, 2009 at 11:11pm
I'm agreeing with Daterman, these parades with naked butts looks like parades of prostitutes. Is the law permits such parades on the public streets?
May 26th, 2009 at 6:51pm
What's with you gay guys?
If you want to enjoy a body of the same gender - go for it. No one contests this right. Live together, build a life together, no one will try to stop you.
But calling a union of two people of the same sex "marriage" is like calling a squadron of soldiers a choir.
Marriage is the union of a man and a woman.
Why?
So that they can have and raise children.
Why do they need marriage to do that?
There are many reasons for this. One is that raising a child takes several years. If the father and mother of the child(ren) agree to remain together (marriage), this gives the child(ren) a certain amount of stability, emotional and financial during this process.
Even with today's technology, it's not possible for two people of the same gender to reproduce. So marriage between two people of the same sex is utterly ridiculous. It's not a matter of what anyone thinks about it, or passing bills about it. It's not a legal matter.
And as for a same-sex couple adopting a child, in another society at another time, it might be possible. I've been an elementary school teacher in various countries for 40 years and I know that a child who has same sex parents would get ripped to pieces. Children can be far more cruel than adults.
Please open your eyes and take a look at the reality around you.
May 26th, 2009 at 7:12pm
Okay people honestly let's get real here. Im gay, I don't see myself as "flamboyant" and if homosexual couples had the same rights as heterosexual couples there would NOT be an issue. If marriage and a civil union gave couples the same rights Im pretty sure most people would not care what you called it.
It is the people who are complaining that it is disgusting to see "fags" making out in the streets or whatever that are being ridiculous. When was the last time a gay person told you to not kiss your girl in the street? If you don't want to see 2 guys or 2 girls kissing then don't look. If there is more than that going on then it is the people as individuals that are at fault. Not ALL gay people go out and flaunt their sexuality all over the place. People like that (straight or gay) are disgusting and they want attention.
If no one made a huge deal about all the PDA (again, straight or gay) than it wouldn't be such a huge issue.
Basically what I am trying to say is that people are going to do what they want to do no matter what they are told. Guys are still going to have sex with guys and girls are still going to have sex with girls if that is what they want to do. And for those of you who say that it has been a man and a woman for 5000 years or whatever...that is because in the past the bible was translated a little more literally. As in gays and lesbians were punished by death or other beatings and what not. Now we are striking back and fighting for what we believe in. Get over it.
In the bible it states that if a child disobeys his parents he should be put to death, so next time your little kid says no to you, go out back and shoot them cause that is what the bible says to do! (No one is going to do that because it is WRONG) Wake up ignorant people and smell the roses. Unless you plan on a complete and total destruction of the world as we know it stop fighting change. Don't throw the bible into this war because you can't pick and choose the parts you want people to see.
Im done ranting now. People that are so ignorant just bother me so I had to put my 2 cents in. Thanks for reading and if this changes one person's perspective then I have accomplished my goal.
~Tom~

Civil Union rights disolve once you cross state lines, so they are not the same. It is saying you can ride the bus, but sit at the back, you are less equal to the rest of us. Denying marriage basicly says you are less than human (2/3), you are not capable of feeling the same grief I will when my wife dies, or the joy I feel now when we hold hands, or even the excitement on the day of our wedding. No, you have this sense that gay love is perverted and can not compare or be equal. Well I love my parents as much as you love yours, and I love my husband (MA marriage) as much as any one in a traditional marriage. I don't understand how church and state can be seperate when religions want to selectivly impose parts of their beliefs on others. The bible calls for stoning people to death, and rape victims to marry their attackers, but we choose to ignore those parts. Instead people want to discriminate against gays, and they hide behind religion to do so, the very one they pick and choose what rules to keep and which ones not to. I think it is sad when states will allow people with mental retardation to marry (in certain situation), but not allow gays), what does that say about how society views gays.
May 30th, 2009 at 3:46pm
Ever been to Mardi Gras, or a St. Patrick's Day parade? Lot of nudity, and public drunkeness. At Mardi Gras the nudity is usuall topless women, or is that OK becasue staight men like that. Why do care if I am Gay? Why do I care if you are Irish, or any other kind of parade. It's simple, we should celebrate who we are, all of us, and if you don't like the parade, don't go.
Jun 21st, 2009 at 4:11am
Ok so I want to get married to my partner. Who stops my right to do this?
People who believe the lies of other people. The following are lies: If gay people marry their partners that someone will want to marry their brother or sister or cousin. Now who in the hell speaks this? The Mormon Church, James Dobson Focus on the Family, Pat Robertson, etc...Why? They want Americans to believe such tragic lies in order to keep others in fear so that they can control America. Another lie is that if gay people want to get married then your neighbor will want to date your dog and then marry the bitch. Now how stupid does that sound?
Here is what prop 8 does and other states whom have voted not to recognize gay marriage from anywhere or even allow it in their own state. For divorced people who stayed in the closet being gay during their straight marriage it produces " Hey if you want a relationship then you have to have it while your children are not in residency with you." It produces x wives and x husbands who will try to keep their gay x's in court using the children as an excuse to promote their own hatred and biggotry against gay people. I ought to know my x wife and her new husband are biggots and use what is called a paramour clause to discriminate against me. Why? I can't get married to my partner. Guess who votes like that ? People who are lied to through the religious organizations that if you are gay you are a bad example to your own children because you are not really committed you are perverted and have orgies all the time in your house with a bunch of men. Get real! See how lies spread and spread and spread. Then as usual people without a buit of ocmmom sense buy into these lies because they so trust people like Pat Robertson, James Dobson, the Mormon Church. When is the last time you were in these peoples bedrooms to see what kind of kink they are involved in? WHo really cares? I think America is so wrapped up in what kind of sex things we are all doing in the bedroom and can't admit that sex is to enjoy not control and manipulate by law. Ok so a gay couple wants to get married? It is not like they have not already had sex and you are certainly not preventing that.
If America does not wake up then eventually someone will come along and take away satright peoples rights to privacy. What is the old saying" What goes around comes around?" I stand amaxed that so many Americans so want to inflcit pain, hurt, and frustration on others. When did the majority rule over the minority anyway? Maybe we ought to have a national vote about gay marriage with the electoral college deciding the victory? Why yet even vote on who gets to marry whom? Because in essence this is saying I have the right to get married because I am straight any other person can go screw themselves. So why define marriage to one man and one woman? Does tgis mean that one man and one woman means one person at a time or one person per lifetime? Maybe all these people against gay marriage ought to be MORE for outlawing divorces since they so believe in one man and one woman. I know what their main thinking is. If gay marriage is alllowed then gay people will be allowed to divorce. If they are allowed to divorce then the court system will be further backed up and I will not be able to go onto my second, third, fourth, fifth, etc...marriage. Now if you want to look at promiscuity as going from one person to another then the straight people have no cause to speak.

I hope and trust the A.C.L.U. distinguishes between EQUALITY of all American citizens and the bogus claim to a "right to marriage," which does not exist for anyone. If, however, any state, municipal, or federal government believes it is in the public interest to provide pair-bonding benefits to all but homophiles, the A.C.L.U. will join the legal, political, and social ADVOCACY that "all are equal" grants the SAME-PAIR BONDING privileges to homophiles that are granted to heterophiles. If not, the A.C.L.U. has been on the wrong side of the argument, the "positive rights" argument that has never been recognized. Indeed, homophiles are the only CLASS of individuals not protected by the 1964 CIVIL RIGHTS ACT to not be discriminated in employment, housing, and accommodations, that religionists have, but not those of sexual orientation.

Marriage is between one man and one woman. You can't change what the Bible states, people. This is NOT a hate statement either. NO bad language, no death threat, no animosity towards GLBT. The Bible is never-changing...you go and CHANGE what is says ---this country is going DOWN hill and fast. Obama is not a Christian and yes, America is a CHRISTIAN country.

Yes, Donna: Marriage is a human right ordain by God, but between a one man and a one woman.
Gen 2:18
"And the LORD God said, [It is] not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him."
Gen 2:24
"Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."
Gen. 2:25
"And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed."

Marriage: A legal union between two consenting individuals of legal age, that are not biologically related to one another. It can be between two individuals of the opposite sex or it can be between two individuals of the same sex. However, if it's between two individuals of the same sex, it's considered a Civil Marriage that is recognized by the government of the United States of America, but does not have to be recognized by the Church or other Religious Institutions. This is what is meant by separation of Church and State.
Since marriage is between only two individuals, this eliminates Polygamists or those that want a threesome marriage. Since marriage cannot be between relatives, this eliminates any marriage based on incest. Since marriage is between two consenting individuals of legal age, this eliminates marriage with an animal or with a minor. Even though procreation is part of marriage, it's not the "only" part and there are a lot of heterosexual couples who can not procreate. A marriage doesn't make a family and a family doesn't make a marriage.
There are different types of marriages. And whatever type of sex that consenting individuals of legal age engage in, is their business and their business only. However, if marriage is so important to society then explain these situations for me...
a) You have reality shows where the public not the man/woman picks the bride or groom...
b) People are getting married all over and over again without, legally, being divorced. And the government doesn't have any system or controls in place...
c) How can you annul a marriage years after the fact, especially when children were born from that union?
d) How can you get married by, and again, in the Catholic Church after being legally divorced?
e) And you have people marrying total strangers for money, so that one of them can stay in the U.S.A legally...
Just something to think about.

Religious Snobs?: When you bring in the "new," you must retire the "old." Therefore, when Jesus gave us the new covenant, we were to retire the old covenant. When Jesus agreed to be crucified on the "cross," and in return, those who believe in Him, and accept Him as their "Lord and Savior," will be "reborn" and will have not only "eternal life," but all their "debts," in the form of sin, will be "forever" paid. This includes: past, present and future debts/sins. This is why Jesus is so important: Allah, Buddha, and all the rest have died. But Jesus was the only one, of all the rest, that has risen from the dead.
Moreover, the only unpardonable sin is "Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit." And their are religious scholars that claim that even that "sin" is unforgivable. However, let's refer to the bible. This is in Jesus' own words:
"Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men."
New King James Version. Mathew 12, verse 31.
"Assuredly , I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemes they may utter: "but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation"
New King James Version. Mark 3 verses 28-29.
"And anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him: but to him who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven."
ABOMINATIONS:
Dishonest scales are an abomination to the Lord. Proverbs: 11-1
Those who are of a perverse heart are an abomination to the Lord. Proverbs: 11-20
He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just. Both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord. Proverbs: 17-15
Diverse weights and diverse measures . They are both alike, an abomination to the Lords. Proverbs: 20-10.
These six things the Lord hates. Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look. A lying tongue. Hands that shed innocent blood. A heart that devises wicked plans. A false witness that speaks lies. And one who sows discord among brethren. Proverbs:6-16-19.
And the scoffer is an abomination to men. Proverbs: 24-9.
One who turns away from hearing the law. Even his prayer is an abomination. Proverbs: 28-9
And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress: then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation. Daniel: 11-31.
"Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place." These are the words of Jesus, Himself. Mathew:24-15.
They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work. Titus: 1-16.
He who kills a bull is as if he slays a man; He who sacrifices a lamb, as if he breaks a dog's neck; He who offers a grain offering, as if he offers swine's blood. He who burns incense, as if he blesses an idol. Just as they have chosen their own ways. And their soul delights in their abominations. Isaiah: 66-3.
The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. Revelations: 17-4.
But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. Revelations:21-8.
All the above is from the New King James Version, concordance.
Research for yourself. Which abomination(s) are you engaging in? And if you say none, you don't believe that yourself.

YOU KNOW WHATS WRONG WITH THE STRAIGHT PEOPLE. WE LESBIANS AND GAY MEN STAY TOGETHER LONGER THAN STRAIGHTS DO..
STRAIGHTS LOOK TO THE BEDROOM WHERE WE LOOK AT THE LOVE WE HAVE FOR OUR PARTNERS AND WE R PROUD TO BE WHAT WE R.
AND HOW WE ACCOMPLISH OUR LIVES

I was harrassed, hit and tasered in my back by a policeman that made anti-gay statements. They let a man that had attacked me for being gay go on his way. They arrested me and kept me confined for 10 days. Noone in the City Council wants to address it and I cant seem to get through to the ACLU. I feel like I am being attacked all over again. Baytown hates gays.....

I don't know about y'all. but I came from a union of a man and a woman. now thats a sacred thing. to be preserved. Beware of heterophobia. Before any gay or lesbian attacks me as misunderstanding - I do have a unique sexual orientation. but it is also heterosexual. I do understand. and I still think Gay marriage is just not necessary. A person is supposed to have love, and autmatically be in heaven and satisfied with that love whether the environment condones or not. We really still need to work on general family values for heteros because there are still many errors in many families with poor relations to one another.
I do not wear my sexuality on my tshirt, or try to pass congressional bills. If I saw it in a magazine in the bookstore I would think everyone has a right to be offended. That is good old fashioned privacy that alot of us seem to have forgotten about. To keep sexuality a private matter, unless you plan on having sex with the individual in which you are sharing. We also forgot how to be satisfied with love as just love. Homos and Heteros. There is something wrong with the degree of love we share, and the measurements we expect.
Support DOMA like it was your own diamond ring. I think everyone has a right to be however they want to be. but to demand that we collectively treat something(two males, or two females that will not be able to reproduce) like something it isn't(a male and a female capable of reproducing) - is just something I cannot do. We came from a man and a woman. It is my impression that it is our responsibility to the law of nature(regaurdless of religious classification) to spend our lives preparing an environment for the next generation. something that heteros have been working on since then very beginning and still ain't got it right. And it is also our shared responsibilities to use natures blessings to bring additional life into this world. I could be wrong, but I do not believe so, I have a right to my beliefs and will hold onto them until I am PROVEN wrong(so please be aware that verbal testimony will be disreguarded).
That means we are supposed to use the penis and the vagina to make another life. We are allowed NOT to, but we are still supposed to.
Its really very, very simple.
