ACLU Affiliates Show Their Pride
Every year, ACLU affiliates' staff, board and volunteers attend LGBT Pride marches and festivals in communities across the country. This year, ACLU contingents participated in over 70 Pride events from Miami to Anchorage, from Maine to Hawaii, and everywhere in between.
Below is a slideshow — set to the music of Dan Fishback — featuring just a few of those many Pride month events our affiliates attended. Check out our Flickr page for more photos and cities.

I understand that you folks are a non-partisian organization, therefore, I look forward to seeing you all march at the various pro-life rallies across the country. See you there!

A really strange thing happened with this post. In Google reader, where I read your feed, a bunch of keyword ads for a prescription drug were inserted before the text of the post.
I've posted a screenshot here:

Steve, LGBT rights and reproductive rights are not partisan issues. The ACLU supports the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people because the Constitution and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, among other things, guarantee inalienable rights to all people - not just those that conservative Christian churches approve of. They will not be marching in any anti-choice rallies because government interference in a woman's healthcare decisions is a gross invasion of privacy.

Steve, as soon as the anti-abortion people are seen as a group whose Constitutional rights are being denied.

Um, "non-partisan" means not supporting or opposing any political party or candidate. It doesn't relate at all to positions on political or social *issues.* Check your facts...

Steve forcing people to breed is not a civil liberty.
Btw Chris congratulations on such a well thought out and original critique.

Tg...If it only involved one person, fine. But it is the unborn child that has to pay the ultimate price because of someone's irresponsibility. I know there are those on the far-left who see the unborn as "useless eaters" and "sub-human parisites", and unfortunately, I will not be able to convince you all that an unborn child has just as much rights as anyone in the LGBT community. BTW, what if someone wanted their unborn child killed if they found out they have a chance of becoming gay? Paen...that is like a convicted criminal complaining about doing time in prison after commiting a serious crime. It all boils down to personal responsibility, which the far-left despises. Roald...next time pro-life demonstrators are told where they can and cannot demonstrate we'll see if the far-left ACLU will show up to defend their cause.

Steve all you know about the left is the rubbish idots like your self proclaim on the internet.

Steve, I think the ACLU will defend them. They have a history of supporting the Constitution even when the cause is unpopular.
