Gov Pushes for Secret Review of New FISA Law
Less than an hour after President Bush signed the FISA Amendments Act, the ACLU filed a lawsuit challenging the new law. We also filed another legal motion with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC), requesting that any review of the new law be open to the public to the extent possible, and that we are allowed to make arguments against it. Not asking for much, right?
A few weeks ago, the FISC ordered the government to respond to that motion, and late yesterday, the government did just that. It its response, the Bush administration asked that FISC not to accept any legal briefs from the ACLU or anyone else but the Justice Department, and that any review of the FISA law be kept secret. We can't say we're surprised by this.

I learned that the Colorado Nat'l Guard has rented over 400 rooms in Denver during the upcoming convention, AND that something called FUSION has been set up there. Homeland Sec and local police and nat'l guard units are working together in increased spying on citizens. There are TWO WORDS citizens need to ponder, very seriously, as they apply to govt events in current society: Incremental and Acclimated.A police state is being constructed, in an incremental way. Citizens are becoming acclimated to each new anti-democratic procedure. ETERNAL VIGILANCE IS THE PRICE OF FREEDOM! CITIZENS of the US and the world: Pay attention. Stand up for FREEDOM.

When one reads the Nuemberg War Crime Trials, regarding torture and that planning the use of torture is a war crime, I have to ask, When are these questions going to be put to Bush and co.?
FISA and the MCA act of 06, are almost a replay of the Enabling act Hitler used in his rise to power, yet most people do not even seem to care and get angry if its brought to their attention.
Is Bush planning a coup and takeover of the USA? One wonders.
Good luck and good hunting to the ACLU.
