Description: On May 1, the ACLU of Alaska sent a letter to Alaska Attorney General David Marquez promising legal action should the state legislature pass HB 149, a measure which would recriminalize adult possession of small amounts of marijuana in the privacy of the home. The letter outlined the proposed legislation's conflict with the state courts' well established findings that such conduct is protected by the privacy provision of the state's constitution.
