Biography of Nahal Zamani

Nahal Zamani is an Advocacy Associate with the Human Rights Program at the American Civil Liberties Union where she develops and executes human rights advocacy campaigns using New Media, regional workshops and public education.

Prior to joining the ACLU, Zamani volunteered with the International Rescue Committee and worked in project management with Animédia, an e-learning company in France. Zamani is researching the effects of war on children, and other marginalized populations, and the use of art as a means of documentation, political expression and self-empowerment.

She holds a B.A. from Rutgers University in French and Women's Studies.
