Lorena Fernandez is the office manager for the San Francisco office of ACLU Immigrants’ Rights Project (IRP).  Prior to holding this position, Lorena has worked as a paralegal for IRP and the ACLU Criminal Law Reform Project.  She also has a broad range of civil liberties and human rights experience outside the ACLU, having worked at the Center for Reproductive Rights, Human Rights First, and the Resource Center for Women and Their Families. She graduated from George Washington University with a B.A. in Anthropology, focusing on Latin America.  Aside from her civil liberties passions, she enjoys traveling, gardening and learning French.
