Alice Clapman, a Liman Fellow, is a graduate of Yale Law School, where she was student director for the immigration section of the law clinic, senior editor for the Yale Law Journal and articles editor for the Yale Human Rights and Development Law Journal. Before joining the IRP, she served as a law clerk to Judge Chester J. Straub of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. She has published a Note on common law privacy rights and abortion, and an article on clinical legal education in transitional democracies.
