Criminalization of School Discipline - In 2003, the principal of a South Carolina high school ordered a police raid based on suspicion that 1 student was selling marijuana. Police in SWAT uniforms handcuffed 14-year-olds, and 2/3 of the students in the raid were African-American although they made up only ¼ of the student body. No drugs or weapons were found. p. 151
