ACLU of Wisconsin Files Free Speech Lawsuit Over School's Censorship of Gay-Themed Books (02/16/1999)
MILWAUKEE, WI -- The American Civil Liberties Union of Wisconsin today filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of a group of parents and students, challenging the removal of books with gay themes from a high school library.

BALTIMORE--In the first deal of its kind, state officials agreed to a court order that will clear the last of Maryland's outmoded sodomy laws from its books, the American Civil Liberties Union announced today.
