DEFENDING THE RIGHT TO PRIVACY
Police surveillance of law-abiding citizens is a challenge to our basic rights and liberties. Particularly since 9/11, police departments across the nation have used “security” as an excuse to monitor and record the activities of law-abiding citizens and groups. The ACLU seeks to protect the rights and privacy of all Americans by challenging the unconstrained and arbitrary use of police surveillance. At the federal level, we also fight against
unwarranted and unchecked surveillance by the federal government. |
