Hans K. Klein, Ph.D.

Hans K. Klein is a professor in the School of Public Policy at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Klein was previously on the faculty of The Institute of Public Policy at George Mason University.

Prof. Klein holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and an M.S. in Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Princeton University.

Professor Klein serves on the Board of Directors of Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility (CPSR). He was a co-founder of Telecommunications Policy Roundtable of the Northeast," a public interest coalition for telecommunications policy. He has also done research in the field of public access television, serving on the Editorial Board of the Community Media Review of the Alliance for Community Media. From 1995 to 1997 he chaired the Social Impacts and Public Policy program at the annual conference of the Internet Society.

Prof. Klein's research focuses on the development of large scale technology systems, such as the Internet and Intelligent Transportation Systems. An expert on information technology and public policy issues, he has published numerous research reports and papers and has edited journals and conference proceedings.
