Holding Phone Companies Accountable
The ACLU of Florida filed a request on May 24, 2006, for the Public Service Commission to investigate whether local phone companies have shared customers' phone records with the NSA. AT&T and BellSouth have denied allegations that they have cooperated with the NSA. The commission has given no formal response to the request for an investigation.
