On May 24, 2006, the ACLU of Kansas and Western Missouri sent a letter to state attorney general Phill Kline requesting an investigation into whether local phone companies have shared customers' phone records with the NSA. The Attorney General has not acted upon this request. No confirmed targets of unchecked surveillance; no local groups currently filing FOIA requests.
