In response to a Freedom of Information Act request filed by the
ACLU in 2003, the United States government has released documents
totaling more than 100,000 pages, detailing the torture and abuse
of detainees.
The American public and the world have the right to know the
truth about these abuses, the policies that led to them, and
the leaders whose decisions put the policies in place.
