ACLU Letter to the House Judiciary Subcomm. on the Constitution on Voter Registration Problems in the 2008 Election
March 18, 2009
On behalf of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), its over half a million
members, fifty-three affiliates nationwide, and countless additional supporters and
activists, we commend the Committee for holding a hearing to explore the lessons
learned from the 2008 election. We thank the Committee for allowing us to submit
this letter for the record documenting problems citizens encountered during the 2008
election cycle.
