Shannon Doty lives in Minnesota and is a member of the Wisconsin National Guard. She is 28 years old and a law school student currently stationed in Afghanistan. She would lack the necessary ID to vote if the proposed constitutional amendment on the November 2012 ballot were to pass. The proposed constitutional amendment could eliminate absentee balloting if passed, which would jeopardize Shannon’s only means of voting when deployed.
