ACLU Highlights Threats to Title IX on 30th Anniversary Of Landmark Anti-Gender Discrimination Measure (06/27/2002)
WASHINGTON - Saying that gender discrimination still exists in the United States, the American Civil Liberties Union today highlighted a number of threats to the landmark anti-gender discrimination measure -- commonly referred to as Title IX -- that was signed into law by President Richard Nixon 30 years ago.

GRANTS PASS, OR--Saying that local Recreation Department officials unfairly discriminate against girls' athletics, the American Civil Liberties Union today filed a lawsuit seeking an immediate court order that will give the girls' softball league equal access to playing fields before the new season gets underway.
