Because freedom can't protect itself
"Eighty-eight years ago today, Ms. Helen Thomas entered into a world that was just barely ready for someone as totally awesome as she."
It's a good thing that 88 years ago, Ms. Thomas's mother wasn't able to kill her in the womb. If her mother had been able to excercise her "right" to "choose," who would have taken her place as the fiercist critic of the Bush Dictatorship?
Helen Thomas sets the bar for journalistic integrity--and she knows how to stay on topic, which is more than can be said for the winger commentators on this blog who turn every thread about a woman or a woman's issue into a vehicle for their anti-choice rants.
Hey Nancy in NYC, I AM A WOMAN. And a woman's "issue"? Could you have picked a more deceptive euphemism?
