Because freedom can't protect itself
Public school is supposed to be a place to learn about math, reading, writing, spelling, history, etc. (and the "etc." does NOT include religion) It's a SCHOOL, NOT A CHURCH!
Jesus Lean? Is that when you lean against a cross with your arms out?
Despicable. Students rely on adults to teach them the truth. Truth is not necessarily atheistic but requires a lack of faith.
I think this is WONDERFUL... Maybe if we kept the LORD in our schools we would have less crime and kids killing eachother.. It's obvious that children aren't getting enough of the LORDS word at home..
South Carolina is so funny
its not christian chapmans message its THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTYS MESSAGE!!!!
So we should just trample on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights? I am outraged!
I AM B-SHOCKED!
"...or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..."
How dare they trample on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights! Those school officials should be fired!
This is great! Thanks B-Shoc and Christian Chapman for bringing God to the lost.
This is a great idea the worst thing this nation under God ever did was take God out of the school system.
The ACLU needs to mind it's own business. Nobody is asking for you people to stick your noses into our business and affairs. Go away. Period!!
This isn't acceptable.
Thank you! Well done.
That school principal has made a huge difference during his time there ... for the better!
I applaud the school for their courage! They are indeed promoting civil rights for there is a direct correlation between the spread of the Gospel and the rise of civil liberty.
How wonderful that 300+ students made a decision to accept Christ in their lives.
Down with the ACLU. This is a Christian nation.
Down with the ACLU. It is a bleeding heart socialist organization. This is a Christian nation, deal with it.
Which "god" is supposed to be in the schools? Yahweh, Zeus, Isis? If the school has one religion, they'd better be prepared to let all religions into the school! So when are the children actually supposed to learn.....
The mighty banhammer of the courts will soon be upon them.
This was a nightmare for those of us who have other religious beliefs. Nothing has changed.
Conservatives complain and complain about huge government taking over our lives, telling us how to live, and what to think, and on and on and on. The hypocracy is incredible.
South Carolina is a shameful state!!! Full of Bible thumpers, hypocrits, poverty, racism, and the craziest politicians!!! Doesn't suprise me a bit!!!
Some people in our country don't have maps. Some people in our country don't have access to a good edjucation. And such as.
300 plus saved.
Maybe in this economy even the devil will end up unemployed
I went to Cheraw High in this district and suffered through a couple annoying visits from Clebe McClary between 1999 & 2002 but they were nowhere near as over the top as this.
Oy Vey! No, Oy Gevault! No,on considering some of the rabid, bonehead, ignorant, intolerant & downright stupid comments- Oy Gottenyu!
Well I went to a Chesterfield County school as well many years ago. I tell you exactly where the problem lies, we need Jesus back in the schools. I applaud the principal for taking a stand for what and who he believes in. I would appreciate my child having a leader like that to show him the way especially if I weren't living right. Some times we are the only Jesus some will ever see. If you deny him here he will deny you on judgement day. So be very careful what you critisize and put down here because one day you will answer to him and it wnat be funny when he says "PASS ON CHILD I NEVER KNEW YOU!!!
I am a Christian...
I love my God...
I do not judge others based on their beliefs...
I am horrified that in this "free Country" people are looked down upon because they are independant. Some may be ignorant, some may be hateful and some may be blessed with knowing what they truly believe in, but overall, everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and the Declaration of Independence made sure that no country is going to force religion upon this great nation.
The U.S. Constitution gave us the freedom to choose our religion and many have found one, but others choose not to and that choice should not be taken from them by a middle school asembly.
No matter what has been brought into this community by this assembly, it was unconstitutional and wrong because with the separation of church and state this should have never happened.
