Because freedom can't protect itself
Wonderful welcomed news!My pretnar and I like so many other couples are adversely affected by DOMA. We live in constant threat of being harmed and or killed because of DOMA I can not sponsor him in the United States because of DOMA. It would also be extremely helpful if congress would pass by force if necessary the United American Families Act. The Boston Circuit Court of Appeals should be applauded because the decision could very well force USCIS to approve same sex petitions. If nothing more, the administrations Dept of Justice, Homeland Security, USCIS could work around DOMA with creativity by granting Asylum to couples and domestic pretnars outside the U.S since some couples are not married or unable to marry in their state because of DOMA. The Administration does not need congress approval to grant asylum.
