Because freedom can't protect itself
This happen to my child in Anderson, SC.
I was once called into the principles office of my high school for sending a girl a text message.
Soooo, apparently the other day the principal told my son that he couldn't wear his sweatshirt that had DU-PEC Wrestling on the front and "Champions Are Made Not Born" on the back because it's not representing OUR school and asked him to take it off. He had a DUKE University sweatshirt on another time and was told he shouldn't be wearing that one, also. Well, I guess the kids shouldn't be wearing Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers, Bears, Vikings, etc., since they aren't representing our school either! OMG! What is this world coming to! I think there is more important issues this principal should be focusing on with kids than a sweatshirt that is clean and presentable, but from a different school! And this is what our taxpayers are paying for? This principal seems to always find a way to pick on our son and make school uninviting for him to even attend. He's not an A student and this kind of attitude just discourages him even more. We just don't know what else to do or where to go! Any suggestions?
My school tried to ban us from Facebook.
