Because freedom can't protect itself
If I have been Tweeting on Gaza, and other Middle East states, since Tahrir. I try to avoid lies, rumours, trolls and especially violent factions & extremists. But I do believe in freedom of speech, Hamas is a democratically elected government, whether we like it or not, & if the Israeli PM is free to have his say on Twitter amid hostilities, then so are others. And RT is NOT endorsement.
I'm not a Muslim, I'm not a Jew, it doesn't matter, we're all humans...
Far better to watch Hamas chatter on Twitter than to push their non-critical communications into less observable channels.
If terrorist groups want American soldiers to leave the Middle East, and Ron Paul advocates American soldiers leaving the Middle East, then by the letter of the law, could the government prosecute Paul? Think about it... Not that they would, but could they?
