Because freedom can't protect itself
here's the opposite, ad it's beautiful, a drone-created video http://www.theatlantic.com/video/archive/2012/12/firefly/266106/
so ... mull that
Someone already put a real gun on a drone (link below). I've also made designs in the past for putting bombs on the more typical ones, including GPS controlled. An option was to link GPS to the payload control mechanism and activate specific payload at specific waypoints. I never built it, though, because I don't need LEA problems. ;)

Interesting stuff. If you liked that, you'll love this:
It's all good though. "They" will also have to make Anti-Drone Drones, or ADDs, to patrol the skies for hostile drones, like a remote arms race. These new automations will zone in on heat, noise frequencies etc and then mob hostile/unidentified drones with taffy spray to "blind" the machine and clog up its moving parts to neutralise it.
The future looks interesting, eh?
Interesting stuff. If you liked that, you'll love this: some Russian dude has put a sub-machinegun on a quadcopter.
Boys will be boys: check out the toys!
It's all good though. "They" just need to buld some Anti-Drone Drones [ADDs... you heard it here first] to seek, track and neutralise unidentified/hostile drones, like a drone arms race in the skies.
They won't be armed with guns, but with taffy-spray to "blind" the target and clog up its moving parts, causing it to fail.
Future sounds fun!
No, we don't need any rules. We all already know that assault, murder, and the like are bad things to do and we know how to respond to such behavior. Rules will accomplish nothing, especially when it comes to restricting technology, unless you want to live under a state like that of North Korea.
