Because freedom can't protect itself
There is one man who has a valuable and unique perspective on this issue of sequester and Prison Reform; namely, for Commissioner Bernard B. Kerik. His unique view with experience as both a former Corrections NYC Commissioner (with his many attributes to cleaning up Rikers Island), NYPD Commissioner as well as a sitting Federal Inmate remarkably has given him a view and some common sense voice-of-reason ideas. His recent blogpost at www.bernardkerik.blogspot.com “Taxpayers, Economy and Society Benefit from Prison Reform” is worth the read for this reason. His unique point of view and willingness to share it at this time should not be wasted. I hope you will take the time to read it and please comment. Thank you.
