Because freedom can't protect itself
So, where is that so-called constitutional conservative, John Kasich?
The 19th century ended two-hundred thirteen years ago.
Isn't the recent incidence of jailing individuals who can't meet debts congruous to the pervasive vilification of the poor in society and the constant celebration of the well to do? If society really wants to make good on those offenders who fail to pay their debts and break the law, why are we starting with the least able to do so and not the real entities (Wall st, finance companies, corporations that pay $7.15 an hour and force their employees to join public assistance programs) that flagrantly break such laws with so often the peekaboo assistance of the government....
If you guys think that is bad, take a look at the clallam county court system in Port Angeles washington. If you do not pay on your fines each and every month they will lock you up. at least once a month until the full amount is paid. Just ask judge porter and his pay or appear system
