Because freedom can't protect itself
I don't understand how you can endorse the proliferation of even one single drone over America, I quote, "Clear rules can ENCOURAGE GROWTH in the developing domestic drone industry, while still protecting our right to privacy." That statement is completely ridiculous--you can't have both where drones are concerned anymore than you can have wholesale unrestricted surveillance by the NSA and others and claim citizens are free of surveillance and the infringement of their constitutional rights! Domestic drones should be banned immediately. No one asked the citizens of this country to vote on the issue. The FAA is running this show without any regard for the rights or wishes of the citizens that employ them. This is/will be another unwanted intrusion into our daily lives and will require further continual taxation of the citizens against their will for something they didn't ask for and don't want. There is no need to "encourage growth in this developing domestic drone industry," we need it nipped in the bud NOW before it becomes an even greater threat to our lives and freedom than the current NSA abuses. We already have an impotent judiciary, congress, and president when it comes to defending and preserving our constitutional rights. If domestic drones are allowed in America it will not only be the end of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" it will negate any kind of positive outlook on life and will result in a demoralized citizenry which is a bad omen in itself. When people are completely demoralized they have NOTHING to lose.
