In this podcast, ACLU National Security Project Staff Attorney Zachary Katznelson talks with former Guantánamo detainee Lakhdar Boumediene, who was held there for 7 1/2 years without charge or trial. Boumediene was also the lead plaintiff in Boumediene v. Bush, the landmark Supreme Court case that ruled prisoners like him must have a meaningful opportunity to challenge their confinement. Boumediene talks about his experiences at Guantánamo and his reflections on the 10-year mark since the first prisoners were taken there.
