New ACLU Polling Shows Voters in Crucial Battlegrounds and Nationwide Prefer Proven Solutions Over Toughness on Public Safety
The ACLU polled voters in some of the most competitive battleground states, key congressional districts, as well as voters nationally, on major questions related to public safety. This research, coupled with surveys from other leading organizations and research firms, shows voters overwhelmingly prefer policies that tackle the root causes of crime over approaches that call for more police, arrests, and incarceration.
