Bio

Alice Clapman is Senior Counsel with the ACLU's Reproductive Freedom Project. She has over a decade of experience litigating reproductive rights cases in state and federal court from trial through appeal, and counseling healthcare providers. Before joining the ACLU, she worked for the Brennan Center for Justice and Planned Parenthood Federation of America; taught immigration law clinics at Georgetown University and University of Baltimore; and clerked for Judges Chester J. Straub of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and Naomi Reice Buchwald of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. She has a BA from Princeton University and a JD from Yale Law School.
