Bio

Ethan Herenstein is a Staff Attorney in the ACLU Voting Rights Project. He litigates voting rights cases throughout the country.

Before joining the ACLU, Ethan worked on voting rights as counsel at the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law. He also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Cornelia T.L. Pillard on the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and for the Honorable Jed S. Rakoff on the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Ethan received his J.D. from Stanford Law School, where he was the Senior Notes Editor for the Stanford Law Review. He also holds an M.S. in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University and a B.A. in Philosophy from Columbia University.
