Bio


Kari Siegenthaler is a legal intern for the Human Rights Program at the American Civil Liberties Union. She is a rising third-year student and Levy Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. At Penn Law, she serves as a Project Lead for the International Human Rights Advocacy Project and for a partnership between If/When/How and the Decarceration Advocacy Project. She also serves as Executive Editor of the Journal of International Law and completed an externship with the Federal Community Defender Office’s Capital Habeas Unit.

She is a proud Texan and graduate of Pomona College, where she studied Politics and was awarded the Fred Krinsky Prize for Best Graduating Senior in Comparative Politics. Prior to law school, Kari worked as a paralegal at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Financial Frauds Bureau.
