Bio
Malina Simard-Halm is a Staff Attorney in the ACLU Voting Rights Project. She litigates voting rights cases throughout the country.
Before joining the ACLU, Malina worked on consumer and civil rights cases as an Assistant Attorney General with the New Mexico Department of Justice. She also served as a law clerk for the Honorable William A. Fletcher on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and for the Honorable Jesse M. Furman on the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Malina received her J.D. from Yale Law School, where she was the Executive Editor of Features and Book Reviews for the Yale Law Journal and a student director of the Supreme Court Advocacy Clinic. She also holds an M.Phil in Criminology from Cambridge University and a B.A. in Ethics, Politics, and Economics from Yale University. She is a Harry S. Truman and Gates Cambridge scholar.
