One Year After the Orlando Nightclub Shooting, Solidarity Continues Its Struggle Against the Forces of Division

On the morning of June 12, 2016, I awoke to the horrifying, devastating news that there had been a mass shooting at an LGBTQ nightclub in Orlando, Florida. The scope of the tragedy was not yet clear at that point, but I already had feelings of dreadful sadness wash over me. I remember sobbing as I told my own partner what had happened at Pulse.

Forty-nine lives, overwhelmingly young and Latinx, were lost in the attack — the deadliest against the LGBTQ community in U.S. history.

As has so often been the case in the history of our country, tragedies like this show us the very worst of humanity, but they also bring out the best. The outpouring of compassion in the hours, days, and weeks following this attack infused a degree of hope into the most hopeless of situations. Within hours of the incident, attacks on Muslim, Arab, Middle Eastern, and South Asian communities began from anti-Muslim rhetoric to incidents of harassment and violence.

But the LGBTQ community would not let their tragedy beget more tragedy. In the midst of their own trauma and mourning, the LGBTQ community made clear that they would not stand silent while Muslims were attacked. And standing side-by-side with the LGBTQ community were Muslim communities, holding fundraisers for the victims and their families, donating blood, and offering statements of unity and solidarity. For many, this was the first show of support between these communities, while for others, including LGBTQ Muslims, it was much-needed love and solidarity in a moment of heartbreak.

Those who perpetuate attacks of violent hate do so with the goal of sowing division and turning us against each other. Time and time again, we see them fail. As President Barack Obama reminded the nation just hours after the attack:

So this is a sobering reminder that attacks on any American — regardless of race, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation — is an attack on all of us and on the fundamental values of equality and dignity that define us as a country. And no act of hate or terror will ever change who we are or the values that make us Americans.

Over the past year, we have seen, sadly, still more violence perpetuated against individuals because of who they are, whom they love, or how they worship. In each case, we have seen communities come together and stand in solidarity to make clear that hateful violence does not represent us. We are better than that. We have each other’s backs and will not be divided.

On this one-year anniversary of the tragedy at Pulse, that is the lesson that we should all seek to emulate.

The 49 people whose lives were lost in the attack at Pulse are:

Posters have been offended by me saying that it wouldn’t surprise me if it turns out 1 or more of the Orlando victims were pedophiles & or drug dealers. They’re offended because I think they know it’s possible but hate that I raise this because people were murdered & wounded in this shooting. I don’t omit ugly facts because something bad as getting murdered happened. Though posters know this, here’s why it wouldn’t be surprising if it turns out 1 or more of the victims were gay pedophiles & or drug dealers. The life of gays & lesbians (though not always) often have bad childhood such as fact that many gays & lesbians were victims of gay/lesbian pedophiles as kids.

1. People who are victims of same sex pedophilia are more likely to turn out gay/lesbian in adulthood, copying the sexual behavior they learned. In worse cases, victims of gay/lesbian pedophiles turn out to be gay/lesbian pedophiles in adulthood. This is esp. true for gay men & wouldn’t surprise me if it turns out 1 or more of the gay men killed in Orlando had been as a boy molested by gay pedophiles such as gay Catholic priests which caused them to repeat sexual conduct they learned from their abuse & possibly even turn out to be gay pedophiles.

2. People who are victims of gay/lesbian pedophiles along with being more likely to turn out gay/lesbian are also more likely to have problems such as depression, drug junkyism & drunkardism. They’re more likely to use drugs such as Meth, Cocaine & Extasy. In some cases, junkies can sell drugs along with using them or be a drug courier or lookout for drug dealers for money. In pubs, drugs are often sold & pubs are known to get drunkards, junkies & drug dealers.

Now I know this offends people with posters telling me how I’m trashing people who aren’t here to defend themselves. But ugly facts don’t change because some1 is murdered & it wouldn’t surprise me if 1 or more of the victims were pedophiles & or drug junkies + drug dealers because again, many gays & lesbians were victims of gay/lesbian pedophiles which ruined their sexuality & people who are victimized like this are more likely to turn out gay/lesbian in adulthood incl. turn out to be gay/lesbian pedophiles & more likely to be drug junkies incl. in some cases, sell drugs. Think the offended posters know this but hate that I’m not shy & raise this.

I have to say I am offended, but not because of the fact you are exercising your right to speak. I'm offended by your brazen misinformed co-relation of LGBT people to "drug dealers, paedorasts, and junkies." A judgement that you could also raise at a mass killing any place, regardless of the sexual orientation of the clientele. I sincerely hope you take a moment to inform youself before making sweeping statements about the deaths of human beings.

To the commenter who replied to my post. I read both your comments and my thoughts. Yes, in any mass shooting or mass murder, it's possible that 1 or more of the victims are bad people, because individuals are different and not every1's a nice person. We still punish murder because even if 1 of the victim is a bad person. If some1 goes into a shopping mall and shoots and kills many people, the mass murderer must be punished, even if it turns out 1 of the shopping mall victims was a convicted felon with a violent criminal record, because it's not the mass murderer's place to be judge, jury and executioner.

With Orlando, you're right that Omar S. Mateen had no right to go into a Orlando gay club and shoot so many people which killed over 40 and wounded many, even if it's true that 1 or more of the Orlando shooting victims were pedophiles and or drug junkies or even drug dealers. If it's true that 1 or more of the Orlando shooting victims was a pedophile, drug dealer, etc., then it's the cops job to arrest them & help the prosecutors prove they're guilty. If convicted, then they go to prison. I don't disagree with that. Besides, I'm mostly against the death penalty.

The reason I mention that it would not surprise me if it turns out that 1 or more of the Orlando victims were pedophiles and or drug junkies is because in gay bashing cases, too often & not surprisingly, the media pushes hero or 'queero worship' of the victims because the victims a homosexual. With Orlando so far, there was a music video in 2016 by musician Sia called Greatest which implies we should worship the Orlando victims. For many years, the media has pushed hero or queero worship of Harvey B. Milk (1930-1978) & Metthew Wayne Shepard (1978-1998) because both gays were killed where esp. in the Methew Wayne Shepard case, they omit ugly facts on who the victim was.

Judy Lynn Shepard , the Shepard Foundation, etc. have been trying to censor gay journalist Stephen Jimenez's 2013 Book of Matt. Judy Lynn Shepard not surprising supports the homosexual pedophile Harvey B. Milk (1930-1978) who committed homosexual statutory rape on a 16 year old boy in 1964 which even the gay activists admit. Metthew Wayne Shepard (1976-1998) was not the innocent as he has been portrayed by Laramie Project or films like Shepard is a Friend of Mine. Metthew Wayne Shepard was a junky who assoc. with drug dealers in both Colorado & Wyoming, was possibly a drug dealer himself (Methew Wayne Shepard could also possibly have been a drug courier or a lookout) & when he was 15 years old, he was arrested for molesting 2 boys & he got counseling by Natrona County Juvenile Court for molesting 2 boys.

If a drug dealer is murdered, I believe in punishing the 1 who committed murder. However, I don’t martyr the drug dealer’s life. Since Book of Matt was released in 2013, others have verified main things of Stephen Jimenez's book-that AJ McKinney & Methew W. Shepard were acquaintances & the fact Methew W. Shepard assoc. with drug dealers in Wyoming & Colorado. Dennis & Judy L. Shepard have been arrogantly dishonest about who Methew W. Shepard was by trying to censor Stephen Jimenez.

I don't know why the murder happened & I don't know if Methew W. Shepard was a drug dealer which is why I say possible drug dealer-Methew W. Shepard could also have been a courier or lookout. Methew W. Shepard was a child molester because he had been a victim of homosexual child molestation & repeated the molestation as a 15 year old boy when he molested 8 year old boys. Stephen Jimenez possibly read Methew W. Shepard's subpoenaed psychological/medical records, where Methew W. Shepard talks about why he molested the 8 year old boys by copying the conduct he learned from being molested as a boy. I wouldn't be shocked if Methew W. Shepard molested more children than the 2 which were reported.

after Methew W. Shepard's murder, most people who knew ugly facts about him were shy as they don't want to sound rude by talking poorly of dead-families of the 8 year old boys who Methew W. Shepard molested were shy because they likely guessed the same thing. In few cases where people tried to tell ugly facts about Methew W. Shepard, the journalists ignored them or they were condemned for talking bad about the dead. Witnesses who spoke to Stephen Jimenez likely thought that because Stephen Jimenez is a gay journalist, that they can tell ugly facts about Methew W. Shepard w/o being condemned.

Judy & Dennis W. Shepard push 'queero worship' of Methew W. Shepard for years. They have gone to schools to speak being invited by teachers & kids have posed for pictures with Dennis & Judy Shepard. Many of the pro-gay teachers won't tolerate students giving facts which offend them & if a student were to say to Dennis & Judy Shepard that Methew W. Shepard's a child molester, drug junky & possible drug dealer, they could get punished by teacher.

The teachers support free speech right for students to pose for pictures with Dennis & Judy Shepard-the parents of a dead child molester, drug junky & possible drug dealer but they oppose free speech right for students to say ugly facts. There have been cases over students getting punished by teachers for giving views against homosexuality which offended the pro-gay teachers.

Dennis & Judy Shepard hope that people who agree with them reinforce them while those who differ be shy or if they speak censor them. If Dennis & Judy Shepard are invited to speak @ a school, then kids should have a right to tell ugly facts about Methew W. Shepard though Dennis & Judy hate it. If the law had punished Harvey B. Milk for committing homosexual abuse on a 16 year old boy in 1964 (which he was not prosecuted for) & if the Wyoming legal system had given Methew Wayne Shepard years in prison rather than counseling by Natrona County Juvenile Court for molesting 2 boys when he was 15 years old, then Harvey B. Milk & Methew Wayne Shepard both would have avoided being murdered in 1978 & 1998.

Like it makes a big huge gd difference to notate it when they're already dead & it's a mute point. It doesn't matter what someone was when they're dead, there's no way anything bad can come of it so what's the point of saying it?

I spoke on June 20, 2016 to Cliff Kincaid because of columns he wrote here http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/kincaid/160618 here http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/kincaid/160615 & http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/kincaid/160618

Now Cliff in the past, has talked of how gays & lesbians in interviews with Peter J. LaBarbera on how most media is pro-gay, fact that many gays & lesbians were victims of pedophiles as kids which ruined their sexuality with in worse cases, turning out to be gay/lesbian pedophiles, fact that gays & lesbians are more likely to be drug junkies, sell drugs as here’s an article Cliff Kincaid wrote in 2015 http://www.aim.org/aim-column/exposing-hollywood-pedophiles/ In 2010, Cliff Kincaid wrote a column where among other things discusses higher drug junkyism rates of gays & lesbians here http://www.conservativetruth.org/article.php?id=1890

I called Cliff on June 20, 2016 telling him that I wouldn’t be surprised if 1 or more of Orlando victims were drug dealers & or gay pedophiles. I told Cliff Kincaid as I have said here-while mass murder is wrong, that doesn’t mean martyr the victims because if a drug dealer is murdered, we punish the murderer, but we don’t martyr the drug dealer. Cliff Kincaid asked on how do we know there were drug dealers & that 49 innocent people were killed. I told Cliff Kincaid the fact that many gays & lesbians were victims of pedophiles, that many gays & lesbians are drug junkies along with fact that gay/lesbian bars are known to sell drugs like Extasy, Meth, Cocaine, etc. & that ugly facts don’t change just because people were murdered.

Cliff Kincaid hung up, because he can’t rebut. I think Cliff Kincaid was dishonest as for years, Cliff Kincaid has talked about this but on June 20, 2016, he hangs up when these facts are said. It’s possible that drugs such as Meth, Extasy & Cocaine were sold @ the Orlando gay pub as pubs are known to get drug dealers. Possible that 1 or more of the Orlando victims were as kids victims of gay/lesbian pedophiles which ruined their sexuality & don’t be surprised if 1 or more of the Orlando victims themselves turned out to be pedophiles by copying conduct they learned. I don’t think Mr. Cliff Kincaid is surprised by this. I don’t think Cliff Kincaid’s honest when he told me that 49 victims were innocent, as he also did in 1 column. I again told Cliff Kincaid that mass murder is wrong, but that we must not martyr the murder victims because getting murdered doesn’t change ugly facts about the victim. Cliff Kincaid’s reply to me was dishonest & he hung up because he can’t rebut what I said or what he has said for years in his interviews with Peter J. LaBarbera or his columns where Cliff Kincaid talked of high drug junkyism rates that gays & lesbians have, etc.

Peter J. LaBarbera knows it’s possible that 1 or more of the Orlando Pulse mass shooting victims were drug junkies, drug dealers & or pedophiles, yet so far Peter J. LaBarbera has not mentioned this possibility. Peter J. LaBarbera has discussed many times the fact that many gays & lesbians were victims of pedophiles which possibly caused their homosexuality/lesbianism. Peter J. LaBarbera also has talked about high rates of drug junkyism among gays & lesbians. I’m not surprised Peter J. LaBarbera has so far avoided saying it’s possible that 1 or more of Orlando shooting victims were pedophiles & or drug dealers, perhaps to not be rude. But if it’s true that 1 or more of the Orlando shooting victims were drug dealers & or pedophiles, then ugly facts don’t change because 1 was killed or wounded in shooting.

Not surprised that Peter J. LaBarbera is being shy, but I’m not.

I rarely comment on these boards because many times it is all the wiser to keep opinions to oneself. And you are certainly free to express your views and beliefs, but you might want to consider that regardless of the lifestyles the victims at Pulse chose to live, whether they could be shown to immoral or unethical by even the fairest of human values, the victims lives were still taken from them forcefully by an individual how had no conscious of his actions. It would be both unfair and irresponsible to all people - even to people who live lifestyles that you yourself would consider as decent and ethical by your values - to simply ignore what happened at Pulse. I would imagine that justice is better served through lawful means that through murder.

If a drug dealer is murdered, I believe in punishing the 1 who committed murder. However, I don’t martyr the drug dealer’s life. I don’t martyr or worship people’s lives because they were murdered. I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out 1 or more of the Orlando victims were pedophiles & drug dealers. Orlando mass murder’s wrong, but I’m not going to martyr the victim’s lives esp. if it turns out 1 or more of the victims were drug dealers & or pedophiles.

People are offended by me saying that possibly 1 or more of the Orlando victims were pedophiles & or drug dealers. In gay/lesbian pubs-drugs like Meth, Extasy are sold as drug junkyism high among them. With pedophilia, many gays were molested as children which ruined their sexuality & some even turn out to be pedophiles. I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out 1 or more of the Orlando victims were pedophiles & or drug dealers.

People like Omar S. Mateen are dangerous & unpredictable. I don’t want mass murders & Omar S. Mateen should have been in prison. I don’t think people should be allowed to own military weapons & I believe that if you want to own a gun, you should go through same reqt. as owning a car such as background checks, licensing, gun training & insurance. But again, I don’t martyr or worship people’s lives because they were murdered. If a drug dealer is murdered, I believe in punishing the 1 who committed murder. However, I don’t martyr the drug dealer’s life.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out 1 or more of the Orlando victims were pedophiles & or drug dealers. Orlando mass murder’s wrong, but I’m not going to martyr the victim’s lives esp. if it turns out 1 or more of the victims were drug dealers & or pedophiles.

http://ktla.com/2016/06/14/baptist-pastor-on-orlando-attack-are-you-sad-... I have said that possibly 1 or more of the Orlando victims were gay pedophiles & or drug dealers while this Baptist pastor said all Orlando victims were pedophiles.
