ACLU Successful in Fighting Second Attempt by Congress to Censor the Internet

In a ringing endorsement for the First Amendment, a unanimous decision by a federal appeals court struck down the Children’s Online Protection Act (COPA), Congress’ most recent effort to censor the the Internet. Representing 17 other groups and individuals, the ACLU welcomed the decision, which it believes “imposes a burden on speech that is protected for adults.” More . . .
