ACLU comment to the Department of Education re: Proposed Supplemental Priorities and Definitions for Discretionary Grant Programs

On November 13, 2017, the ACLU submitted these comments to the Department of Education regarding Education Secretary Betsy DeVos’ proposed supplemental priorities and definitions for discretionary grant programs. As detailed in the comment letter, the ACLU is concerned that several proposed priorities and definitions will, in fact, interfere with the Department’s mandate to ensure equal educational access.
