On June 13, 2017, the ACLU submitted a comment letter to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in response to their request for comment regarding their regulatory reform agenda. The ACLU staunchly supports HUD’s extant fair housing regulations and reminds the agency that a deregulatory agenda does not alter its statutory obligations under the Fair Housing Act and the Violence Against Women Act.
