On June 5, 2017, the ACLU joined a coalition letter expressing profound concern that the actions of Trump administration are undermining the civil rights of all Americans. In particular, the coalition expressed concern over the Trump administration’s proposed deep cuts to key civil rights office budgets, the withdrawal of numerous important civil and human rights policies, and the appointment of officials who have supported a retreat from statutory, civil, and human rights agency priorities.
