ACLU Submission on Just Transition and Human Rights to UN OHCHR

On January 15, 2025, the American Civil Liberties Union contributed a submission in response to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) call for input regarding the relevant opportunities, best practices, actionable solutions, challenges, and barriers to a just transition and the full realization of human rights for all people, to be submitted to the 60th session of the Human Rights Council. This submission provides information concerning the rush for transition minerals in the United States and the corresponding exploitation and abuse of Indigenous Peoples and land.
