A day after an Oklahoma judge ordered the release of email communications between Scott Pruitt and representatives of the oil and gas industry, the ACLU urged senators to postpone the vote on his nomination for Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. On Feb. 16, Oklahoma District Court Judge Aletia Haynes Timmons found the state violated the state’s Open Records Act in not making the communications publically available, and ordered they be turned over within five days. Pruitt, the state’s Attorney General, was confirmed Feb. 17.
