On July 12th, 2017 the ACLU submitted this letter to the House of Representatives, urging members to vote no on Rep. Frank’s amendment #68 to the National Defense Authorization Act. The amendment would require the federal government to conduct “strategic assessments” of religious doctrine, singling out Muslims and Islam, in violation of the Constitution.
