ACLU Joint Universal Periodic Review Submission with People of Red Mountain and Human Rights Watch, U.S.

In a joint submission with the People of Red Mountain (PRM) and the United States Program of Human Rights Watch, the American Civil Liberties Union submitted input for the Human Rights Council’s Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of the United States for the fourth cycle. This submission asserts that United States has violated its international human rights obligations toward the Numu/Nuwu and Newe Indigenous Peoples through its approval and ongoing support of the Thacker Pass Lithium Mine in Nevada.
