Coalition Letter Opposing Changes to Religious Non-Discrimination in VAWA (S.47) House Substitute

Available for download is a letter sent by the Coalition Against Religious Discrimination to members of the U.S. House of Representatives, on February 27, 2013, about the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act (VAWA). The letter opposes changes in a House substitute bill to a provision in the Senate-passed bill protecting against discrimination in the government-funded programs and activities authorized under VAWA. The House substitute would remove protections against employment discrimination in those programs. The substitute bill failed and the House approved the Senate version that included nondiscrimination protections for employees.
