This June 7, 2017 coalition letter, signed by the ACLU, urges the Senate Judiciary Committee against voting for Steven Engel to head the Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) unless and until the committee receives and reviews information relating to Engle’s involvement with a July 2007 OLC torture memo.
