A classified document prepared by the National Counterterrorism Center, the lead agency for tracking individuals with suspected links to international terrorism. The 12-page document offers a numerical picture of the Terrorist Screening Database (TSDB), a watchlist of "known or suspected" terrorists that is shared with local law enforcement agencies, private contractors, and foreign governments. Of the 680,000 individuals saved on the database, 280,000 of them have "no recognized terrorist group affiliation". The document also provides an overview of the Terrorist Identities Datamart Environment (TIDE), a classified database that allows for targeting individuals based on far less evidence than the already broad standards used for placing individuals on the watchlist.
