ACLU FOIA for OLC Records on Domestic Military Deployment

On October 25, 2024, the American Civil Liberties Union filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with the Justice Department Office of Legal Counsel for OLC final opinions, letters, memoranda, and manuals relating to the President’s authority to deploy military and national guard troops within the United States, and the activities in which those personnel may or may not engage.
