Join the Coalition
The coalition is urging its fellow charity organizations to join them in opposing the Combined Federal Campaign's watch list policy. If your charity is affected and you wish to join, please send an e-mail with your contact information (name, title, daytime phone) to CFC_coalition@aclu.org.
The statement must be signed by the President, Executive Director, or Board Chair of your organization.
CFC charities that may have signed the watch list requirement.
If you are a coalition member and/or a current participant in the CFC program, we urge you to send a letter to CFC head Mara Patermaster asking for a clarification on the scope and implications of the policy and seeking a response to questions about the policy that cannot be answered by information previously supplied by the CFC. A sample letter is available online for your use.
Sign-on Statement in Opposition to Combined Federal Campaign Watch List Policy
We -- the undersigned non-profit organizations that receive, have received, could receive or work in partnership with organizations that receive CFC funding -- respectfully oppose these onerous and unlawful policies that require us to check our employees' names against government lists that are notoriously riddled with error. As such, we proudly join the ACLU in protesting this dangerous and ill-informed policy.
