Print Ad: We could have sworn... .

As

part of its campaign, the ACLU ran a series of

seven hard-hitting ads that put the White House on the defensive. Full-page

advertisements, like the one to the right, appeared in The New

York Times and half a dozen major daily newspapers, with

the headline: "We could have sworn... .”
