This sign-on letter, sent to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Jeh Johnson, DHS Deputy Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Director Leon Rodriguez on May 4, 2016, requests that DHS reverse its present policy banning counsel from overseas refugee interviews. The letter was led by Kids In Need of Defense (KIND), HIAS, and the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP).
