Sign-On Letter Supporting S. 2390, the FBI Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act

The ACLU joined this sign-on letter sent March 17 to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley and Ranking Member Patrick Leahy, in support of their bill, S. 2390, the FBI Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act (WPEA) of 2015. The legislation would provide needed upgrades to whistleblower policies in the U.S. code, amending the FBI-specific section by providing enhanced protections and due process for FBI employees/applicants who make protected disclosures. The bill has bipartisan support and was awaiting a markup at the time of the letter’s issuance.
